The mural shows Annette in three different poses; Receiving a trophy (she became NSW 100 yards champion in the trudion or overarm stroke in 1902). She is watched by a young Annette in callipers (as a child she overcame a crippling affliction by learning to swim). A mature Annette on her diving board, smiles for the crowd

Here in 1907 Annette takes part in the annual race along the Seine. Against male competitors, she comes equal third. Annette was adored by the press, helped by her ability to speek fluent French (her mother was originaly from France).

Annette is arrested for indecent exposure on a Boston beach, in her revealing one piece bathing costume.

Annette performs even more exotic swimming and diving feats in shows around the world.

American vaudeville joins in promoting annette with the most amazing water shows while her titilating costumes were creating a sensation.

The realm of the silent film gave Annette international stardom, especially with "Neptune's Daughter" 1914, less so in the large scale production "Daughter of the Gods" 1916.
Later films were: "Honor System" and "Queen of the sea" 1918 and "The Art of Diving" 1920.

In 1952 MGM's Busby Berkley brought the story of Annette Kellerman to the big screen with the film "Millon Dollar Mermaid".The leading role was played by the glamourous star Esther Williams
